Become a certified lifeguard! This course equips participants with the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Through a combination of videos, group discussions, and hands-on practice, students will learn rescue and surveillance techniques, First Aid, and CPR/AED training—essential skills for working as a professional lifeguard.
Course Requirements:
✔️ Age: Participants must be 15 years old on or before the last day of the course.
✔️ Pretest: Students must pass a water skills assessment, including:
1️⃣ Jumping in, submerging, resurfacing, and swimming 150 yards using front crawl, breaststroke, or both.
2️⃣ Treading water for 2 minutes using only legs, followed by a 50-yard swim.
3️⃣ Retrieving a 10-pound object from 7-10 feet deep, swimming 20 yards on the back while holding the object, and exiting the pool without using a ladder or steps.
Blended Learning Format:
This course combines independent online learning with in-person pool and classroom sessions to reduce meeting time.
• 7-8 hours of online coursework is required before attending in-person sessions.
• A tablet or laptop is required for in-class material review.
• Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory.
Certification & Refund Policy:
✅ Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Lifeguard Certification with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid, valid for 2 years.
🚨 Refund Deadline: Cancellations must be made at least two weeks before the course start date for a refund.
❗ The full course fee is forfeited or owed if a participant fails to complete the course or meet requirements.
