AARP Driver Safety Program - RenewalAdultCars, traffic rules, driving conditions and the roads you travel every day have changed. Some drivers aged 50-plus have never looked back since they got their first driver’s license, but even the most experienced drivers can benefit from refreshing their driving skills. Learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate your vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment. You’ll learn how you can manage and accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing, reaction time, and much more. Minnesota state law requires insurance providers to offer a 3 year, 10% auto insurance discount to licensed drivers age 55 and older upon completion of an approved defensive driving course. The eight hour First Time class is required if you have not taken one previously through AARP. Bring your AARP membership card (if you are a member) to class.Fall 2024
