Parent Child Swim Lessons
Swimming Lessons
This class will familiarize your child with the water and teach them swimming readiness skills, as well as an introduction to water safety. A swim diaper must be worn for children who are not trained. Parents MUST accompany children in the water. Participants Ages 6 months-4 years learn to: • Feel comfortable & play safely in the water • Blow bubbles & submerge face • Explore floating & gliding on the back & front • Perform combined stroke on front/back with aid

Participants will work on:: • Tread water, 30 seconds • Back float, 30 seconds • Rotary breathing • Intro to flutter, scissors, breaststroke & dolphin kicks • Change from horizontal to vertical position on front & back • Front & back crawl & elem. backstroke

Level A Swim Lessons
Swimming Lessons
Ages 4-5 (Min. age 4 by the end of class.) In this level your child is introduced to basic skills that will lay the foundation for future skill development of swim strokes. Participants will work on: • Enter & exit water on own & swim 5 yds • Submerge mouth and blow bubbles for 3 sec. • Glide on front for at least 2 body lengths • Roll to back and float for 3 seconds • Roll from front to back and back to front To successfully complete Level A, student MUST: • Lay comfortably on their back and be able to relax • Put their face in the water and blow bubbles

Level B Swim Lessons
Swimming Lessons
Ages 4-5 (age 4 by the end of class) This class builds on and improves skills learned in Level A. This course is for those students who are not afraid in the water and have had swim lessons on their own before. Participants will work on: • Step into shoulder-deep water with aid • Bobbing • Front float, 3 sec.; back float, 15 sec. with aid • Recover from front & back float or glide to a vertical position • Tread water with aid, 15 seconds To successfully complete Level B student MUST: • Lay comfortably on their back and be able to relax • Put their face in the water and blow bubbles • Put head all the way underwater doing a full bob

Swimming Lessons
Participants will work on: • Head first entry in compact and stride positions • Perform front and back crawl, sidestroke • Perform open turns on front & back • Swim underwater, 3-5 body lengths • Swim breaststroke, butterfly & elem. backstroke • Flutter & dolphin kicks on back • Survival swim, 1 minute • Perform feet-first surface dive • Tread water using 2 different kicks
