Golf: Youth Summer Program

Youth / Golf -
Summer 2025

The Youth Summer Golf Program focuses on developing skills through fun activities and age-appropriate instruction, with golf fundamentals and etiquette at the core. The first hour of sessions one through three is dedicated solely to skill instruction, covering the fundamentals of grip, posture, and aim. Participants will rotate through stations at the putting green, tee box, sand trap, and driving range to practice putting, chipping, and full swings. Following instruction, players will have the opportunity to play different holes on the course. During the July sessions, players will spend most of their time on the course, engaging in drills, contests, and exciting challenges designed to reinforce their skills.

While the program is open to all skill levels, having a basic understanding of the game is helpful. The goal is to inspire young golfers to develop a passion for the sport while building self-confidence and improving their skills.

Students with a Cokato Town and Country Club membership participate at a reduced rate. The program is limited to 40 participants, so register early to secure your spot.

Players must provide their own equipment consisting of golf balls, tees and at least a driver, putter and three irons. Wear comfortable clothes, athletic, closed toed shoes, and dress for the weather. Class will NOT be held during inclement weather and will not be made up.
