Get a jump start on middle school band all before the school year begins. By taking lessons in the summer students will learn the fundamentals of playing a band instrument. Lessons will start at the basics with how to properly assemble their instrument, making a proper sound and become familiar with the first several pages in their method book. Method books are required as part of MS Band and they can be purchased at the beginning of summer lessons from the instructor. If a student did not participate in the band tryout sessions mid-April and are still interested in joining band a tryout session can be scheduled with the instructor before the end of the school year. If a current middle schooler, grade 5-8, has not participated in band previously they could enroll in these lessons in preparation of joining band this upcoming school year. If students are using a personal instrument instead of renting from Eckroth Music, please make sure it is in good working order prior to lessons beginning.
