School of Fish

Youth / Special Events -
Spring 2026

Instructor: Mike Frisch

ZEBCO School of Fish is a 2½-hour fishing class for youth, beginners, and adults in grades 1 and up, taught by pro angler and Fishing the Midwest TV host Mike Frisch. Students learn about lake structure, how to locate fish throughout the seasons, and effective techniques for catching them. They’ll also practice tying a fishing knot and rigging a slip-bobber setup.

To help participants hit the water with confidence, each child receives a complete fishing gear package—including a ZEBCO rod and reel, tackle box with tackle, a School of Fish hat or T-shirt, and a full-color workbook—everything needed to be “fishing ready.”

One adult may attend with a child at no additional cost (and grades 1–4 are required to have an accompanying adult). They will share one equipment package. Adults who want their own equipment should register separately.

Most importantly, graduates leave with the knowledge, skills, and gear to go fishing on their own!
