Online Class with Tech Academy
In this class, we introduce students to programming concepts using Scratch. Learn to create an interactive 2D video game using your favorite Pokémon characters. Scratch is a drag-and-drop creative coding platform developed by MIT. Pokémon is a trademark of Nintendo of America Inc. This camp is not affiliated with them.
Home Technical Requirements :
- Computer: PC (Windows 10 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM
(Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones typically DO NOT Work.) - Internet: Broadband internet
- Webcam, Microphone, and Speakers
- Zoom Installed on Computer
- Students should be comfortable using a PC, mouse and keyboard.
We may cancel the class if minimums are not met 6 Business DAYS before the start date. We need this time to provide the best camp experience for all our students.
Our virtual camps feature engaging interactive instruction in a collaborative learning environment. For each session, students will also be given access to our online classroom, which will feature recordings of the lessons and a curriculum guide with all the steps covered in class, along with instructions for project extensions. To protect students’ privacy, we do not share videos of the actual classes, but we will have follow-along recordings reviewing the instructions and activities done in class.
