Step up to the plate in DC Youth Summer Baseball! This program is open to boys and girls who have just completed kindergarten or first grade and is designed to introduce young players to the fundamentals of baseball in a fun, supportive, and instructional environment. Emphasis is placed on skill development, teamwork, and game play while helping players build confidence and a love for the game.

Teams will practice on Sundays and play games on Wednesdays in an in-house league, allowing players to continue developing their skills throughout the season. Coaches will pitch live to batters, helping players improve their hitting technique while continuing to learn catching, throwing, fielding, and base running.

Participants should bring: baseball glove, wear athletic apparel and tennis shoes or cleats
The program fee includes a team shirt and hat.

The first session on June 3 will be a practice and players will meet at the High School Quad Field Pavilion.

We are also seeking parent volunteer coaches to help make this program successful. No prior ball or experience is required—just a willingness to encourage and support young players! Head coaches for each team will be reimbursed their registration fee.

Following registration, families will be required to create a SportsEngine family account to receive real-time communication and updates throughout the season.
