Grades 2 & 3
Calling all 2nd and 3rd graders interested in honing their basketball skills and experiencing friendly competition with their DC friends! Join our 3 on 3 In-house League, designed to provide a safe environment for skill development and gameplay. In these sessions, young athletes will focus on enhancing their basketball abilities, learning team concepts, and enjoying opportunities to compete in games. 3 on 3 basketball allows more ball touches and individual involvement compared to traditional 5 on 5 play, making it an ideal way for players to learn the game. This league serves as a perfect transition from the fundamentals learned in K-1 basketball to the commitment and intensity of travel basketball, which begins in 4th grade.
Participants must bring their own 27.5" basketball, which can be purchased through Community Ed if needed.

Parent Volunteer Refs: We're also seeking parent volunteers to serve as referees for the 3 on 3 games. Interested parents will receive training at the first practice, and depending on their involvement, a portion of their child's program fee will be refunded at the end of the season.
