Softball Summer 2027 Skills Assessment: 12U
2027 DC Youth Summer Softball Skills Assessment for 12U • 14U • 16U
Although the 2026 season has come to an end, we're already planning for the 2027 summer softball season!
All players interested in playing 12U, 14U, or 16U softball in 2027 are asked to participate in the Skills Assessment. The assessment helps the association evaluate players for team placement and determine the number of teams needed at each age level.
Team Options: A/B Team
- Weeknight league games
- Six tournaments (late May through early August)
- Higher level of competition with more travel and a greater time commitment
- $250 registration fee due by September 15
- Additional player expenses for tournaments, gate fees, etc.
- Example: The 2026 14U B Team averaged approximately $250 per player in additional tournament costs.
C Team
- Weeknight league games
- May participate in a couple of tournaments depending on season standings
- More local schedule with a less time commitment
- Registration and payment will occur later this winter/spring
Both team levels offer a great opportunity for skill development, team camaraderie, and competitive play at the pace that's right for each player.
