Softball Pitching ClinicSoftballThe purpose of this clinic is to develop the fundamentals of pitching in the game of fastpitch softball. The instructor, Callie Danielson, is a former collegiate softball player for Gustavus Adolphus College, Pitching Coach at St. Ben’s College from 2019-2022, Certified Tincher Pitching Instructor since 2019 with 13 years as a Pitching Instructor/Clinician under her belt. Danielson was the head softball coach at Ridgewater College in Willmar. The focus will be on learning the proper mechanics to fastpitch throwing, as well as learning how to build velocity and accuracy. For more advanced pitchers, different grips, techniques, and situations for throwing different pitches will be taught according to skill level. Please provide your own catcher to assist you in going through the different drills.Summer 2026 -

Athletes will be assessed at the beginning and end of the season so they can see their improvement in the following areas: power, speed, agility, muscular strength, and endurance. Volleyball: Fall Traveling LeagueVolleyballFall 2026-2026 Grades 5-6Coordinator: Varsity Head Coach Sydney Mawdsley This traveling volleyball program is designed for girls entering grades 5 and 6 who are looking for a competitive playing experience in the upcoming fall season. The season runs from late August through the first weekend of November, with teams practicing on weeknights. Games will be held at various locations, including Mound-Westonka, Glencoe-Silver Lake, Waconia, Orono, HLWW, NYA, Annandale, Jordan, Lester Prairie, and Hutchinson. Parents are responsible for transporting their child to and from all games and practices. Throughout the season, participants will have the opportunity to develop fundamental volleyball skills, including serving, passing, setting, attacking, and defense, while gaining valuable competitive experience. Practices: Begin in mid-August and will be held one to two nights per week, depending on gym and coach availability. A full practice calendar will be available later in the summer on the Community Education website at www.isd466.org/community-ed. Anticipated Game Schedule: Saturdays: September 12, 26, October 3, 10, 24 Each team will play two games per league date, and the season will conclude with a tournament. Date: October 31. Players and their families are also invited to attend Charger Varsity Volleyball’s Youth Night, with free admission to the game (date TBD). Volunteer Coaches Needed! Students will broaden their knowledge of essential theatre skills through a rotation of interactive classes led by local experts. Topics will include dance choreography, character development, set design, and more! Students will learn firsthand what it takes to bring a production to life.
