Grades 6-8Do you love jazz and rock music? Looking to join a vibrant music ensemble? Explore this exciting middle school extracurricular activity!Participants are expected to attend 95% of rehearsals. Performances include the 7th & 8th grade band & choir concerts on December 15 and May 4, as well as the Annual DC Jazz Fest on April 25.High School Band Room (ENTER Main HIGH SCHOOL)

Participants will work on: • Head first entry in compact and stride positions • Perform front and back crawl, sidestroke • Perform open turns on front & back • Swim underwater, 3-5 body lengths • Swim breaststroke, butterfly & elem. backstroke • Flutter & dolphin kicks on back • Survival swim, 1 minute • Perform feet-first surface dive • Tread water using 2 different kicks

Grades 7-12Instructor: Martin Biondo Challenge your friends and peers as you play your favorite table top games as well as learn a variety of new ones all with a chance to compete in competitions. This activity is open to all students in grades 7-12 and every Thursday after school in the High School Art Room. Games available include: Magic: The Gathering, RISK, Space Hulk, Dungeons And Dragons, Chess, Uno, Catan and much more! Students are welcome to bring in their favorite games as well for the group to learn as well as an after school snack and beverage. Participation in competitions is optional but requires a $10 fee before competing, which helps fund prizes. Registration is ongoing throughout the school year, so students can join at any time. Don't miss out on the fun and camaraderie of tabletop gaming!
