Please review the information below before your first lesson. ARRIVAL & PARKING Enter from Highway 12 using the EAST school driveway (near the quad softball fields). Park in the east parking lot. NOTE: The NORTH school driveway is closed! POOL ENTRANCE Enter through the doors marked "Performing Arts Center." If the hallway straight ahead is open, walk to the end of the hall. The pool entrance will be on your right. If the mauve/purple fire doors are closed partway down the hallway, construction is taking place and the hallway beyond is closed. If the hallway is closed - Follow the BLUE ARROW SIGNS around the construction area. These signs/arrows will direct you:• To the East Gym• Walk along the gym wall toward the north ("home") bleachers• Continue through the weight room• Enter the pool through the north pool entranceMap to Pool if Hallway is ClosedHELPFUL REMINDERS Only the small on-deck locker rooms will be open. Golf: Youth Summer ProgramGolfGrades 3-6Instructor: Jr. High Golf Coach, Brok Huikko & other volunteers and golf members The Youth Summer Golf Program focuses on developing skills through fun activities and age-appropriate instruction, with golf fundamentals and etiquette at the core. Participants will learn the basics of grip, posture, and aim while rotating through stations at the putting green, tee box, sand trap, and driving range to practice putting, chipping, and full swings. As the program progresses, players will have increasing opportunities to spend time on the course, applying their skills through drills, contests, and fun challenges designed to build confidence and reinforce what they’ve learned. The program is open to all skill levels, though a basic understanding of the game is helpful. Our goal is to inspire young golfers to develop a passion for the sport while building self-confidence and improving their skills. Participants must provide their own equipment, including golf balls, tees, and at least a driver, putter, and three irons. Please wear comfortable clothing, athletic closed-toe shoes, and dress for the weather. Class will not be held during inclement weather and sessions will not be made up. Students with a Cokato Town & Country Club membership may participate at a reduced rate. Enrollment is limited to 40 participants, so register early to secure your spot.Summer 2026 -

Band Lessons for BeginnersClasses/Activities2025-2026 School Year Grade 4 (Fall 2026 Grade 5) Instructor: MS Band Director Jay Downie Get a jump start on middle school band all before the school year begins. By taking lessons in the summer students will learn the fundamentals of playing a band instrument. Lessons will start at the basics with how to properly assemble their instrument, making a proper sound and become familiar with the first several pages in their method book. Method books are required as part of MS Band and they can be purchased at the beginning of summer lessons from the instructor. If a student did not participate in the band tryout sessions mid-April and are still interested in joining band a tryout session can be scheduled with the instructor before the end of the school year. If a current middle schooler, grade 5-8, has not participated in band previously they could enroll in these lessons in preparation of joining band this upcoming school year. Please Note: If students are using a personal instrument instead of renting from Eckroth Music, please make sure it is in good working order prior to lessons beginning so that your students has the best experience.Summer 2026 -

Volleyball: Fall Traveling LeagueVolleyballFall 2026-2026 Grades 5-6Coordinator: Varsity Head Coach Sydney Mawdsley This traveling volleyball program is designed for girls entering grades 5 and 6 who are looking for a competitive playing experience in the upcoming fall season. The season runs from late August through the first weekend of November, with teams practicing on weeknights. Games will be held at various locations, including Mound-Westonka, Glencoe-Silver Lake, Waconia, Orono, HLWW, NYA, Annandale, Jordan, Lester Prairie, and Hutchinson. Parents are responsible for transporting their child to and from all games and practices. Throughout the season, participants will have the opportunity to develop fundamental volleyball skills, including serving, passing, setting, attacking, and defense, while gaining valuable competitive experience. Practices: Begin in mid-August and will be held one to two nights per week, depending on gym and coach availability. A full practice calendar will be available later in the summer on the Community Education website at www.isd466.org/community-ed. Anticipated Game Schedule: Saturdays: September 12, 26, October 3, 10, 24 Each team will play two games per league date, and the season will conclude with a tournament. Date: October 31. Players and their families are also invited to attend Charger Varsity Volleyball’s Youth Night, with free admission to the game (date TBD). Volunteer Coaches Needed!
