  • Band Lessons for Beginners

    2025-2026 School Year Grade 4 (Fall 2026 Grade 5) Instructor: MS Band Director Jay Downie Get a jump start on middle school band all before the school year begins. By taking lessons in the summer students will learn the fundamentals of playing a band instrument. Lessons will start at the basics with how to properly assemble their instrument, making a proper sound and become familiar with the first several pages in their method book. Method books are required as part of MS Band and they can be purchased at the beginning of summer lessons from the instructor. If a student did not participate in the band tryout sessions mid-April and are still interested in joining band a tryout session can be scheduled with the instructor before the end of the school year. If a current middle schooler, grade 5-8, has not participated in band previously they could enroll in these lessons in preparation of joining band this upcoming school year. Please Note: If students are using a personal instrument instead of renting from Eckroth Music, please make sure it is in good working order prior to lessons beginning so that your students has the best experience.
  • Build & Code Lego Robotics Camp, Gr. 4-8

    Every participant will build and program their own robot to complete fun challenges, including navigating mazes, following winding paths, sensing and avoiding obstacles, creating simple mechanisms, and even performing a robot dance. Students will explore, experiment, and create using coding blocks, LEGO Technic parts, sensors, motors, and the programmable LEGO Spike Prime hub. This class is perfect for kids interested in LEGO League or looking to develop their robotics and programming skills.

    Instructor: Ms. B Welcome to Little Einstein's Lab, where curiosity bubbles over and science fizzes to life!   • Music Tech & Beatmaking

    Instructor: COR Robotics Unleash your inner music producer in Music Tech & Beatmaking! This creativity-first camp introduces students to the world of digital music production as they craft drum patterns, bass lines, and melodies, then arrange loops into full tracks. With simple tools and beginner-friendly techniques, students will also learn basic “mastering” skills to give their songs a polished, punchy sound. By the end of camp, everyone will walk away with their own exported tracks to share with friends and family—making this the perfect blend of technology creativity, and self-expression through music.
  • RC Wars

    Instructor: COR Robotics In RC Wars, teams of students will build their own Remote Control vehicles to race and battle against other teams. Students will need to design their vehicles to not only be faster and stronger than other teams’ creations, but also better than purchased RC Cars and Drones! RC Wars will feature land and air races, obstacle courses and more as students learn mechanical and electrical building skills in an energetic and exciting environment.
  • Robot Coding Camp, Gr. 5-8

    Learn how to program a LEGO Spike Prime robot in Python using PyBricks, a versatile yet user-friendly coding platform that’s great for beginners. This class introduces the basics of text-based programming and shows how code can control sensors, motors, and robot movement. Participants will explore the structure of a Python program, work with variables and functions, and learn how to use logic and simple debugging techniques to improve their code. As their skills grow, students will apply what they learn to real robot challenges such as navigating paths, responding to sensors, and completing tasks. Along the way they will experiment with reading sensor data, controlling motors, creating movement functions, and even using keyboard controls to drive their robots or build simple multiplayer robot games.     Grades 8-11Instructor: Robotics Mentors Patrick Schuette & Sandy Stertz The robotics season kicks off in December, but students can sharpen their skills over the summer to prepare for next year’s FIRST Robotics competition. FIRST Robotics blends the thrill of sports with the challenges of science and technology. Within strict rules, limited time, and constrained resources, student teams must fundraise, develop a team brand, refine teamwork skills, and design, build, and program industrial-sized robots to compete in a challenging field game.   • Youth Theatre Mini-Camp (YTC)

    Instructors: FungusAmongus Players Take a peek behind the curtain at this two-day theatre mini-camp! Students will broaden their knowledge of essential theatre skills through a rotation of interactive classes led by local experts. Topics will include dance choreography, character development, set design, and more! Students will learn firsthand what it takes to bring a production to life. Camp activities will be featured in a slideshow and displayed this summer during FungusAmongus’s production of Newsies, giving participants the chance to see their work showcased in a real community theatre performance.
