Cheerleading: Charger Junior CheerCheerInstructors: DC High School Cheer Coaches Paech & Hanson and Cheerleaders Join the Dassel-Cokato Cheerleaders for an exciting introduction to cheerleading! Open to students in grades K–6, this program offers a fun, high-energy experience where participants will learn basic cheerleading skills and prepare a halftime performance for the Varsity Boys Basketball Game on January 23. Each session will include engaging games, cheers, jumps, stunts, and a dance routine. Registration includes a t-shirt, pom poms, and a bow—please indicate shirt size at registration. All youth cheer participants and their parents receive free admission to the game! For the performance, participants should wear tennis shoes, their program t-shirt, bow, and black or blue bottoms (black leggings preferred). Cheerleaders will meet in the cheer room prior to the game to rehearse and will be escorted to the gym for their performance. Afterward, parents should check out their child with a coach and pick them up from the south hallway near the band room. Note: Due to limited space in the cheer room, parents and guardians will not be able to stay during practices. Please drop participants off at the start of class and return for pick-up at the end. Early Childhood Advisory CouncilECFE: Early Childhood Family Education ClassesJoin the Dassel-Cokato Advisory Council The Dassel-Cokato Early Childhood Advisory Council is a fantastic group of volunteers that provide support and feedback to the Dassel-Cokato Early Childhood Programs regarding early learning and parenting opportunities such as Play and Learn Preschool, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), and special events. YOU can become part of this dynamic group! We need the input of parents, grandparents, and community members like you to work together with us to identify and address the needs of Dassel-Cokato families with young children. This council meets monthly (8 months) and free childcare is provided. If you would like to visit with a council member and/or join the advisory council, please call reach out to Angela Smith, Early Childhood Coordinator, at 320-286-4120. Purpose The purpose of this Council shall be to insure the Early Childhood Programs provide support to parents in their efforts in raising children, offer child development information and alternative parenting techniques, help relay effective communication between parents and their children, supplement the discovery and learning experiences of children and promote positive parental attitudes through their children's school years. Membership Any person is eligible for membership to the Advisory Council, however, the Council will be made up of Early Childhood Family Education/Learning Readiness (preschool) parent-users and other interested residents of District 466. A maximum of 20 members will make up the Council. Members are eligible for: a once yearly $10.00 discount for classes during their service on the Council, waived the preschool registration fee and early preschool class registration in the spring.2025-2026

Dassel preschool students will be transported to/from Cokato Elementary on dedicated transportation at no additional cost. Staff load the students and meet them curbside each direction. Students may ride the PreK-Gr. 12 bus in the morning and depart on school buses in the afternoon. Dassel students may use afternoon LCC transportation back to Dassel Elementary to catch the PreK-Gr.12 bus home or to attend after-school Charger Kids Club at Dassel Elementary. Dassel parents may also choose to drop off/pick up your child at Cokato Elementary. Care is provided in the dedicated Charger Kids Club/Little Chargers Childcare classroom. (Making Changes to a Current Contract: Scroll to "Current and Upcoming Contracts" and select the contract. Find the child you are registering and follow the prompts. (Note: You will complete this process over for each additional child.) Verify your child's information: name, birthdate, grade, and school. Verify emergency contacts and authorized pick-up contacts. Note: Please provide the names and contact information for two emergency contacts in addition to the parent(s). To Designate Emergency contacts: Log into your Arux Childcare account. Navigate to the "Manage Authorized Pickups" section. Indicate contact order by adding #1, #2, #3, etc., in the "Description" or "Notes" area next to their phone number. If the person listed in not an emergency contact, leave the "Description" or "Notes" area blank. This effectively prioritize and organize contacts for emergency situations.
