Ages Birth-PreK with an adult Separating Class: Midway through class parents will move to a separate room for parent discussion while the children remain in the classroom to play and explore.. Ages 0-12 months remain with a parent during separation time. Ages 1+ must be able to sit and eat snack independently to separate. Parents and children participate in fun learning activities purposefully designed in the areas of language and literacy development, social and emotional development, cognitive development and physical development. During separation time, parents will discuss the wonders and challenges of this age group.

Participants must have turned 11 years old by 11/1/2024. Sponsored by the Rainbow Sportsmen's Club The firearm safety classes consist of a minimum of 12 hours of classroom and range experience in the safe handling of firearms and hunter responsibility. Students will learn safe gun handling, gun care and storage, hunter responsibility, gun safety in the home, marksmanship and more. One range day experience will be scheduled sometime toward the end of the school year, as weather permits, at Rainbow Sportsmen’s Club, and will allow students to learn and demonstrate commonly accepted principles of safety in hunting and the handling of firearms. It includes live fire on a rifle range. Students are required to attend the entirety of all classes and the range day. A parent/guardian must sign a waiver at the beginning of the first class. A fee of $7.50 will be paid to the DNR online after the completion of the class. Register early--maximum 35. Note: for more courses in the area visit www.dnr.state.mn.us You will be notified when a gun safety manual and homework list is ready to be picked up from the Community Education office prior to the course beginning. There is coursework/reading to be completed prior to the first classroom date.

Instructors: Charger Gymnasts Join the Charger gymnasts for an exciting mini-camp where you can jump, twist, turn, and tumble! This camp is designed to introduce basic gymnastics skills on all four apparatuses: vault, bars, beam, and floor. Participants will work on improving flexibility, balance, coordination, strength, and self-confidence in a positive and safe environment. For more experienced youth gymnasts, this mini-camp offers additional time in the gym, learning from our high school gymnasts in a fun and energetic setting. Please come prepared in appropriate gymnastics attire—leotards and tumble shorts, with hair tied back, no jewelry, and don’t forget your water bottle. Get ready for a fantastic experience!

Ages 2-5, not yet in Gr. K and their parent/guardian Looking for some gym time during the cold winter months? Obstacle courses and stations will keep your child busy learning gymnastics skills while burning energy and having fun. Parents MUST be out on the floor with their child/children and actively participate with them. The instructor will demonstrate and offer assistance with the skills and gym circuit while you lead your child through the four apparatuses.

Grades K-6 This class teaches beginning tumbling with an emphasis on Floor skills; it also introduces your gymnast to the Vault, Bars, and Beam. This level is for students with little or no previous gymnastics experience but are ready to jump, roll and twist. Gymnasts must master the following skills to progress to Tumblers 2: lunge to handstand, backward roll to feet, bridge, lunge cartwheel, jump to front support & cast. Dassel-Cokato Tumblers gymnastics program is led by long-time gymnastics coach, Paula Wente. She is set to inspire the love of gymnastics within your child and help them develop through multiple levels.
