  • Child & Babysitting Safety Program

    The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from the American Safety and Health Institute offers comprehensive training to ensure safe and successful babysitting. It covers everything from starting a babysitting business to essential safety, caregiving, and first aid practices. Upon completing the course and meeting the core learning objectives, students receive a certification valid for two years, and instructions to access a digital copy of the Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Student book. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen.

    Grades 3-7 Online Virtual Class: Learn the basics of Dungeons and Dragons. Pick and develop your character and join us for a Minecraft one-shot campaign! Minecraft is a Mojang Studios trademark. This class is not affiliated with them.   • Home Alone

    Is your child prepared for the responsibility of staying home alone? This class empowers children with the confidence and skills needed to handle being home alone,whether it's just for an hour or throughout the day during summer breaks. Our comprehensive curriculum includes: age-appropriate guidelines, establishing safe habits and house rules, structuring after-school routines, managing phone calls and unexpected visitors, emergency protocols for pets, personal safety and unexpected situations handling, gun safety awareness, preparing for severe weather and fire emergencies, intruder alertness, and basic first aid techniques. Students attend this class independently and should come prepared with a notebook and pen. Parents are encouraged to review the take-home information and discuss it with their child.
  • Intro to 3D Printing

    Grades 2-5 This 3D printing camp takes students through the 3D printing process from start to finish. Students will design their own keychains! No 3D printing experience is necessary, but familiarity with common tasks like using a computer and keyboarding is required. One design will be printed offline and mailed home.   • Jazz Band - Middle School

    Grades 6-8Do you love jazz and rock music? Looking to join a vibrant music ensemble? Explore this exciting middle school extracurricular activity!Participants are expected to attend 95% of rehearsals.   • Robotics Club: Gr. 5-8

    Grades 5-8,Instructor: Sandy Stertz Join us for Robotics Club! Participants will have the opportunity to work and play with our Sphero robots. Sphero programmable robots help students learn fundamental STEM concepts through play-based learning and educational STEM activities. Students will work individually and collaboratively with Sphero robots to play games, create programs, and complete challenges. No prior experience is required. Participants who have a school Chromebook for after-school use should bring it with them to class each session. Students will meet in Mrs. Stertz’s MS Room #B-17 on the first day and walk together as a group to the high school classroom.
  • Tabletop Gaming: Gr. 7-12

    Grades 7-12Instructor: Martin Biondo Challenge your friends and peers as you play your favorite table top games as well as learn a variety of new ones all with a chance to compete in competitions. This activity is open to all students in grades 7-12 and meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month after school in the High School Art Room. Games available include: Magic: The Gathering, RISK, Space Hulk, Dungeons And Dragons, Chess, Uno, Catan and much more! Students are welcome to bring in their favorite games as well for the group to learn as well as an after school snack and beverage. Participation in competitions is optional but requires a $10 fee before competing, which helps fund prizes. Registration is ongoing throughout the school year, so students can join at any time. Don't miss out on the fun and camaraderie of tabletop gaming!
  • Virtual Reality Coding

    Grades 2-5 Design, develop, and create 3D Virtual Reality environments and characters to make your own 3D games and other virtual reality projects with CoSpaces! CoSpaces is an incredibly fun and stimulating way to learn STEM! VR programs can be viewed on most mobile phones and VR Systems like Oculus or Google Cardboard. Home Technical Requirements: Computer: PC (Windows 10 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones typically DO NOT Work. Internet: Broadband internet Webcam, Microphone and Speakers Zoom Installed on Computer, zoom link will be sent before class. Students should be comfortable using a PC, mouse, and keyboard. Additional Technical Requirement: CoSpaces Edu (login information is provided during class) To view VR, you must have VR glasses or system. However, the worlds can be viewed on normal PC/Phones/Tablets in 3D.
